Artist-in-Residence at Linea de Costa
In 2015, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as the Artist-in-Residence at Linea de Costa in Cádiz, Spain. This residency was a transformative experience, allowing me to immerse myself in the vibrant and rich culture of Spain.
During my time in Cádiz, I created a body of work that celebrated the bright and dynamic aspects of Spanish culture. The colorful traditions, lively festivals, and the warmth of the local people inspired my creations, which aimed to capture the essence of life in this beautiful city.
In addition to my studio work, I also completed several murals throughout Cádiz. These public artworks were designed to integrate with the city's historic and picturesque environment, adding a contemporary artistic touch while honoring the local heritage. The murals have become a part of the city's cultural landscape, enjoyed by both residents and visitors.
My residency at Linea de Costa was an invaluable period of artistic growth and cultural exchange. It provided me with the chance to explore new techniques, interact with fellow artists, and connect deeply with the community.
I am grateful to Linea de Costa for this opportunity and to the people of Cádiz for their hospitality and inspiration. My work from this period stands as a testament to the enduring beauty and spirit of Spain, and I hope it brings a touch of Cádiz's vibrancy to all who experience it.
